2019-4-22 I've just started using a new version of Word - Word 2019 - and I can't get the spell check to work properly. I'm used to words spelt wrongly having a line underneath them in the document, so I can immediately spot them and correct them. (Note this screen shot is from Word 2003, other versions may be laid out slightly differently) Most of the tick box options in the dialog are fairly self explanatory, but the two that deserve special mention are: Check spelling as you type – this toggles between ‘live’ spell checking, and ‘on demand’ spell checking. If the spelling checker isn't checking words that you typed in a different language, or if it marks words in a different language that are spelled correctly as misspelled, the words might be identified with the wrong language. To manually change the language of particular words or a section of text in Word, do the following.
